Generic Movement Patterns Part 3

Generic Movement Patterns to the back Defensive Zones.

Basic Movement Pattern to the D1 Zone from The T (Solo Ghosting)

When teaching players to develop this generic movement pattern the player should ghost the movement pattern before introducing the ball. Initially, when introducing the ball, the player if moving to the D1 Zone the player should position the left foot forward and after throwing the ball to the back wall cross and plant the right foot just before contact.

The player also practises by jumping and planting both feet just before contact. The latter is normally done when the ball is closer to the back wall. Furthermore, when the player straight drives from the D1 Zone clearing the hitting area with the left foot encourages the player to return to the T via the back door.
