Squaring and Slicing
The player when squaring the face generally accelerates the racquet head. Similarly, when slicing the player accelerates the racquet head.
Squaring the racquet head with Deceleration
When improvising the player may decelerate the racquet head. For example, when the player realises that the opponent is too close and decelerates before contact.
