Two Feeders Routines Specific to My Strategy

Two Feeder-Routines

Introduction

Similarly, two feeder routines are specific to My Strategy.

Furthermore, the routines are presented sequentially (Sequencing).

When the player is learning My Strategy it is critical the player after practising both solo and one feeder routines, moves on to two feeder routines. During the two feeder routines, occasionally, the coach should remind the player to identify what zone the player is in.

The only time the player does not revisit the tactical aspects is during the holiday break.

Implementation of My Strategy.

The player must before hitting the ball:
Identify what zone the player is in.
Identify whether the player can see the opponent (blind or not blind). Furthermore, if the player (in Defensive Zones) is blind to the opponent, the player assumes the opponent is in The T Area.
Identify whether the player is balanced (if in the A1, A2-B, D3 and D4 zones).
These components must be identified sequentially before selecting what shot to play.

This is referred to as conscious squash. When learning..... the use of Visualisation is essential. Furthermore, the player when anxious uses Centering to assist with focusing and Mental Rehearsal to assist with remembering the components.

The videos below do depict the correct T positioning when the player returns to The T

The player positions in both the D1 or D2 Zone.

For example, the player positions in the D1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the D1 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high and slow". Also, when the player positions in the D2 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D2 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high and slow".

The player positions in both the D1 or D2 Zone and the A2-B Zone

For example, the player positions in the D1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the D1 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high and slow". Also, when the player positions in the D2 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D2 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high and slow".

Also the player positions in the A2-B zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the A2-B zone I am not blind to my opponent and I am balanced, I will hit the ball low and fast".

Sometimes when the player is in the A2-B zone the player may be blind to the opponent but knows the opponent is poorly positioned.

The player positions in the A1 Zone

For example, the player positions in the A1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the A1 zone, I am blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced. I will play a straight drop".

The feeders hit the ball so the ball bounces which allows the player to be balanced.

Again the player positions in the A1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the A1 zone, I am blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced. I will play a straight drop".

Again the player positions in the A1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the A1 zone, I am blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced. I will play a straight drop".

The feeders hit the ball either side which makes the routine more difficult for the player.

Again the player positions in the A1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the A1 zone, I am not blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced. I will play a straight drive".

The feeder at the front hits the ball either side which makes the routine more difficult for the player.

The player positions in the A1 Zone and the D3 and D4 Zones

Again the player positions in the A1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says "I am in the A1 zone, I am blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced. I will play a straight drop". Furthermore, the feeders, intermittently, feed a boast and the player positions in either the D3 or the D4 zones and with the assistance of visualisation says " I am in the D3 zone (D4) I am blind to my opponent I will hit the ball high and slow".

The player when in the A1 zone if not balanced hits he ball high and slow. The player when in either the D3 or the D4 zones was instructed to only lob.

Visualisation

Developing the straight drop from the A1 zone requires a lot of practise. Thus it is crucial the the player uses visualisation to assist the player to react laterally.

For example, when the opponent is at the back and may drive the ball either side, the player visualises an arrow simultaneously moving out laterally each side from the hip.

Although, developing the straight drive from the A1 zone is not as difficult as developing the straight drop, however, reacting to the ball is more difficult as the player has less time to react. Thus it is crucial that the player uses visualisation to assist the player to react laterally.

For example, when the opponent is at the front and may drive the ball either side, the player visualises an arrow simultaneously moving out laterally each side from the hip.

The player positions in both the D3 or D4 Zone with the opponent behind.

For example, the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced I will play a straight drop". Also, when the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D 4 zone I am blind to my opponent, and I feel balanced I will play a straight drop".

Again the player positions in both the D3 or D4 Zone with the opponent behind.

For example, the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball a high slow cross court". Also, when the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am blind to my opponent, I feel balanced, I will play a straight drop".

Also, the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D4 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball a high slow cross court". Also, when the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D4 zone I am blind to my opponent, I fell balanced , I will play a straight drop".

The player positions in both the D3 or D4 Zone with the opponent behind and at the front.

For example, the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high slow cross court". Also, when the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am blind to my opponent, I feel balanced, I will play a straight drop".

Also, the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D4 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high slow cross court". Also, when the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D4 zone I am blind to my opponent, I feel balanced, I will play a straight drop".

For example, the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am not blind to my opponent, I feel balanced, I will hit the ball low and fast cross court". Also, when the player positions in the D3 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D3 zone I am not blind to my opponent, I feel balanced, I will hit the ball low and fast with a straight drive".

Also, the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D4 zone I am not blind to my opponent, I feel balanced, I will hit the ball low and fast cross court". Also, when the player positions in the D4 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the D4 zone I am not  blind to my opponent, I feel  balanced, I will hit the ball low and fast with a straight drive".

Sometimes the player may present in the D5 zone and sees the opponent at the front, the player drives the ball to the furthest point.

The player positions in both the G1 or G2 Zone.

For example, the player positions in the G1 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the G1 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high and slow". Also, when the player positions in the G2 zone and with the assistance of visualisation says  "I am in the G2 zone I am blind to my opponent, I will hit the ball high and slow".
